Someone Please Teach me HTML

I keep wanting to put cool links in the text of my posts to other people and other posts like everyone else, but I can’t figure it out. I suddenly feel like a total computer moron. Can anyone help me out.

On a brighter note, I am figuring out how to post pictures, though it can’t possibly be as time consuming for everyone else so I suspect I have a lot more to learn. But in celebration of my new found skills here are some fairly recent pictures of my kids for you to enjoy while I GO and learn HTML somehow.

Yes the expression is a little bit vacant, the smiling ones are blurry.

This is the boy in his gi all excited about his Judo class.

  1. Hey Carrien!

I put out an exact same post when I first started last year. I can help you, I’m pretty sure.

Do you have instant messaging? If not, we can email back and forth, or even, if you don’t feel too weird about it, use the *gasp* phone. A friend did that for me. Sweet sweet girl.

Write me at, and let me know what you’d like to do if you still need help!

  2. I had to laugh because just yesterday I wrote a post about how it took me over an hour to get my picture on my profile. I have been asking people random questions because I just don’t know how to do anything yet. So far everyone has been super helpful. I heart the blog women I have met so far!

  3. You need to use the a href tag to link.

    So, you’ll do this:
    <a href=””>Name of your link<a>

  4. Are you talking about putting links in your post? That’s easy- Look for the button with two chain links on it above the spot where you write your post. Highlight the text you want to link to something else, click on the chain links button, and type in your website.

As for links in your comments, I don’t do that too much because I’ve read several times that that’s a breach of blogging etiquette to link to your own blog in comments. I’m not sure why, but there it is…

    Love your pictures. 🙂
